Help identify antique medallion please?
recently purchased a Victorian? shaped locket book. It is gold (not tested yet, but looks like the front and back of solid gold) he has written on his forehead above "The Medallion Keepsake" then a circle sorta decorated with leaves and a flower? Newman then as the "& Co" with more structure from the outside edges. It measures 3 cm by 2 cm and is really quite pretty. at the opening, inside it has articulated copper sheet 6 / gold? (Folds to a printer connected to the other) each with a picture that looks like the country people dressed in Victorian Wales, from photos I've seen other, I guess these photos are around 1860-1880?. The medallion is in great condition, but I took it just because I loved him, as you can not IM collector. I spent all day on the net trying to find something on the order of the medallion and cannot find one thing? nobody knows something about it or could tell me a site that could help me identify its origins. Thank you in advance for any help
Try St.Fagins (National Folk Museum of Wales. Nr Cardiff). This could be a text of the Bible containers, something personal, like hair or a token Love (inset). They may want a photo of the object – Try the phone first, then make an e-mail contact.
