Best way to sell paintings to Galleries – hotels?
In Australia an Artist does not sell their paintings to Galleries. The best way that an artist can sell is to take a Portfolio of works to the Director of the Gallery to show what style of art the artist does. Then if the Gallery Director likes the artist’s work he will decide to Represent that artist in his Stable. Then the Gallery will Exhibit the work. Hopefully the work sells to collectors who the Gallery has invited to view the art works.
Selling art to hotels is usually a bit different in that the artist goes to the hotel owner directly and hopes to make a sale. Also the hotel owner has to be an art lover and or a collector who maybe invited to the exhibition by the Gallery. I hope this answeres the question.
